Another matchup between the two teams whose playoff game a few years back created the whole Deflategate scandal. Nevertheless, this is a MUST-WIN game for the Colts if they want to try and play their way back into playoff contention.
The Pats sure got the shchneid off with their dominance of the Dolphins on Sunday. With a short week to prepare they hope to deliver the same fate to Indy. The Patriots are -10 over the Colts on Thursday.

Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Luck finally looked like his old self against the Texans. He was slinging it across the field all game long. But, on a fourth-down pass that if completed, would if won his team the game, they did not convert. He is working with little-to-no run game this season, so all of the pressure has been on him. TY Hilton has been looking pretty good, but the same cannot be said of the consistency of the other receivers. Luck finally has a defense, but it hasn’t done well in late game moments.
In order to beat the Pats, they need to get off to a quick start. The Dolphins failed to do so, and you saw what happened to them. In scoring some points on the early drives, they make New England’s offense HAVE to beat them. With a bunch of moving parts out there, they are still a work in progress. Though they scored 38 last game – THIS IS A NEW WEEK.
New England Patriots
Welcome back, Julian Edelman! After missing all of last year with a torn ACL, and being suspended for the first four games of this year’s, Brady’s favorite target is finally making his return. He should be ready to take on a full workload right away, and it will be fun to see the kind of impact he can make, as his last game, the SB in 2016, he looked amazing. Tom Brady performed admirably against the Dolphins, and they will be leaning on him and Sony Michel to lead the team to victory once again this week.
To get it done, their defense needs to slow the Colts down early on. If they allow Andrew Luck to beat them on his first few drives, well, they are going to need to go blow-for-blow, and the Pats tend to pace themselves with short plays and long drives. Not many other teams like to follow with that same style of football. They are certainly the favorites ahead of the matchup, but they surely will need to play like it.
Patriots take down the Colts, improve to 3-2.
With their lack of a run-game, the Colts will get stomped by New England. This game will not be like the Deflategate performance, but it won’t be so pretty. Tom Brady is going to be in his element, and it will help lead the team.
Sony Michel will run for 95 yards and two TD’s, while Brady will toss two TD strikes as well. Big win for New England, as they get back over .500.
