New York Yankees
Austin Romine and Miguel Andujar have been good this season. Romine is hitting .329 so far, and has driven in 20. He also gets on base on an impressive 40% of his plate appearances, a sign of great plate discipline which could prove to be important against a pitcher who is as good as Snell.
Andujar is hitting .304, and has driven in 28 runs. The Yankees will need to get people on base with him at the plate of they want to win. He has also hit 8 home runs. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton have been the major run producers. Despite their less than impressive batting averages (and a massive amount of strikeouts), Judge has driven in 46 runs and Stanton has driven in 35. Look for them to continue to produce in this game.
Rays Top Yankees
On paper, the Yankees look more equipped to win a game purely based on their offense. However, Domingo German has not been pitching well this season. His play this season just doesn’t cut it in the big leagues. I foresee the Rays taking advantage, and winning this game.
