Dominant Seasons Led Here

The Alabama Crimson Tide have been dominating every single opponent that has taken the field against them this season. Their closest game this season has been a 22-point victory and they have beaten all four ranked opponents by a total of 106 points. Heisman hopeful Tua Tagovailoa has been nearly perfect this season. Tua has thrown for 3189 yards and 36 touchdowns while throwing only two interceptions. The running game has been solid as senior Damien Harris has run for 719 yards and 7 touchdowns. Receiver Jerry Jeudy has caught 56 passes for 1079 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Georgia has had its fair share of dominance too, with all of their victories coming by 14 points or more. They have a single blemish on their record, a 36-16 loss at LSU, the same team that Alabama beat 29-0. Quarterback Jake Fromm has had a clean season as well. Fromm has compiled 2236 yards and 24 touchdowns versus 5 interceptions. D’Andre Swift has been a key component for this offense, rushing for 962 yards and 9 scores.

Both Teams Maintain Strong Play

Alabama’s offense has been overpowering, averaging 49 points per game and 538 total yards per game. They have thrown for 332 yards a game and 206 yards per game. They will face their toughest test to date against a stern Georgia Bulldog defense. They have only allowed 17.2 points a game and have been able to keep opponent’s quarterbacks under control. They have only allowed 175 passing yards per game, so Tua may face some struggles that he has not encountered all season long.

Georgia’s offense has been impressive as well, averaging 40 points a game. They average 481 total yards a game but rely on the run more than the pass, which is the opposite of Alabama. Georgia averages 221 YPG passing and 260 YPG rushing. Georgia will most likely struggle against Alabama’s defense like all the opponents have done so before them. The Crimson Tide only allow 14 points a game. They allow similar yardage per game as Georgia. They allow 168 yards through the air and 114 yards on the ground.

Crimson Tide vs. Bulldogs Prediction

Alabama comes in as a 13.5-point favorite. This game will come down to the defense. Alabama shut out ranked opponents LSU and Mississippi State in back to back games, so Georgia will most likely struggle on the offensive end of the game. However, Alabama will face uncharted territory going against a defense like Georgia. The Bulldogs will be able to cause Alabama trouble and if Georgia is able to find the end zone two or three times, they will have a chance to win this game outright. Take Georgia +13.5.

  • Bet the Crimson Tide -13.5 as the favorite

  • Bet on the Bulldogs +13.5 as the underdog
