The Wild were 3 for 3 on their man advantages, while the Oilers failed to capitalize on their 10 minutes of power play time at all. If the Wild can capitalize on just a couple of their man advantages in this game, they should have a good chance to win the game.
The Blues’ last game was also a win, except theirs was against Vegas. Oskar Sundqvist tallied twice for the Blues in this one. Vladimir Tarasenko scored a goal as well, as did Colton Parayko. A Tyler Bozak goal sealed a 2 goal win for the Blues.

Minnesota Led by Trio
For the Wild, Mikael Granlund is tied with Zach Parise and Ryan Suter for the team lead in points. They each have 12 points on the season. Suter leads the team in assists, while Granlund leads in goals. Devan Dubnyk has been good in net for Minnesota as well, with a 2.19 goals against average and a .937 save percentage.

For the Blues, Ryan O’Reilly leads in points with 15 already on the season. Tarasenko lead in goals with 6, with O’Reilly leading in assists with his 12. Allen has not shown himself to be the lockdown goalie that the Blues expected him to be. He has a .878 save percentage, and a 3.88 goals against average. These are subpar stats that he will look to improve greatly to be considered one of the better goalies in the game.
Minnesota Tops St. Louis
Honestly, it is unclear as to why the Blues are even favored in this game. The names on their roster make them look like a good team, but they aren’t playing like one. They are a team that is barely .500 with a goaltender that is not even close to playing up to his potential. Then, you have the Wild who are playing great hockey: they are good on the power play, solid at goaltender, solid on the penalty kill, and have good defense. They are the clear choice in this game.
