Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Clippers Betting Pick and Prediction

Who would have predicted that at game #34, these teams would be battling to stay tied in the standings? The Kings have been aggressive on both sides of the ball this year, with all of their young players stepping up big-time. Buddy Hield is one of the hottest scorers in the entire NBA right now.

LA, on the other hand, is trying to keep it going, after going through a long losing skid. If they ever truly want to get hot and stay hot, they must bench Marcin Gortat, and go to Boban (or Mike Scott) as the starter. Please and thank you.

Kings

There are so many great things we can say about the team with the #5 scoring offense in the NBA. Their personnel groupings have been sensational, though it would be nice to see Harry Giles instead of Kosta Koufos. Marvin Bagley’s new injury has tested their depth a bit, and Nemanja Bjelica has stepped up to play as well as he did in the early-going as a result. Buddy Hield is averaging 20 points and five boards per game while shooting 48% from the floor and 44% from three. DeAaron Fox is posting 18 points, 7.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Bogdan Bogdanovic has been very good since his return, while Willie Cauley-Stein looks to be legit.

Dave Joerger has done a very good job with the team this year, and though Zach Randolph probably won’t see the floor for even a second, they have something amazing going. Iman Shumpert has been about as productive as we have seen in the past few seasons, and they lack offensive weakness. They are unable to get defensive stops for long stretches, but that is the only knock.

Clippers:

With the #3 scoring offense in the league (two spots ahead of the Kings), they have been outscoring all of their opponents en route to getting where they are. They are #25 in points allowed while Sacramento is #28, so it is going to be quite the high-scoring affair tonight. Tobias Harris, owner of a conference player of the month honor this year, has been having an All-Star type of year, while Danilo Gallinari is scoring a whole lot. Avery Bradley and SGA are not scoring much, but have done a whole lot of other good things.

If their defense can step up a bit, it would play a big part in being able to get the victory. They allow a whole of scoring by their opponents, but if Montrezl Harrell can have a big impact off the bench, the chances of their win will be big.

Kings pick up a road win in California

Within their home state, the Kings will have a successful business trip to Staples Center. De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield will come up with big lines to power the team to victory.

Keep it going, Sacramento! 12 wins from your first 30-win year since 2006!
