For the second time in three weeks, the Cowboys are playing a matchup for first place within the NFC East. They have looked sharp of late, and having had 10 days off since their win over the Saints, should be fully rested for this one.
Philly has won a few in a row, and Carson Wentz is looking fantastic. They finally figured out the RB situation, while Golden Tate’s fit is not to be questioned. This should be a real battle.
They have the #12 defense in points against, which has been a big part of their success. They had a long stretch without Alshon Jeffery, while Jay Ajayi tore his ACL early in the year. The continued improvement of Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor have played a big part of the team playing so well of late too. They are 3-1 in division play, and just how big this game is for the team cannot be downplayed.
The pass-rush hasn’t been great, but Michael Bennett is leading the way with 6.5 sacks. Fletcher Cox is not far behind with five, but the numbers are sure down from the previous few years. They have one of the most clutch kickers in the game, Jake Elliott, who began his career with a game-winning 61-yarder. They have only forced ten defensive turnovers, but despite that, are a .500 team nonetheless.
D-Town!!! After Stephen A. Smith gave them zero chance to beat the Saints, the improving D took down the top offense in the league, and held them to just ten points. They have won four games in a row, and the addition of Amari Cooper has helped put the offense slightly over the top. Zeke continues to be one of the biggest producers in all the NFL, while Dak Prescott is getting better as the season wages on.
Dallas’ defense is now ranked #2 in points, and the only losses by more than one possession came against the Titans, and Seahawks, and it was the lack of consistent O that cost them those games. Now, they would be able to both hang with, and compete with both of them. DeMarcus Lawrence is leading the way with 9.5 sacks, while Leighton Vander Esch is looking like a future star. So is Jaylon Smith, who they kept their confidence in, and is now bordering on elite.
Cowboys win their fifth game in a row, move towards clinching the NFC East
Dallas is looking good of late, and it is about to be five wins in a row. Jason Garrett’s job is more-than-safe, while Dak is one of the best rushing QB’s now.
Zeke is going to go for over 125 yards on the ground with a pair of scores, as the Eagles will fail to keep him off the board.
A good day for Dallas, as Wentz fails to lead them to the team.
