The Dodgers have won 7 of their last 10 and are coming off a series win on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers. Los Angeles won a wild one on Easter Sunday, as they led 5-0 but ended up being tied after 8 innings. Cody Bellinger saved the day with a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the 9th inning. Clayton Kershaw had a solid start, going 6 innings allowing just 2 runs on 2 hits but walked 4 while striking out 7. Bellinger was 3 for 4 on the day with 3 RBI’s and his average now sits at .424. Joc Pederson was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and Corey Seager was 3 for 5.

Kenta Maeda will start for the Dodgers in this one. He is 3-1 with a 3.80 ERA in 4 starts this season with a WHIP of 1.27 and 20 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings. Last season, he went 8-10 with a 3.81 ERA in 39 appearances. The Dodgers have had success against Quintana in his career as they are hitting .354 off him in 48 at bats. Chris Taylor is 4 for 6 with a double, Enrique Hernandez is 2 for 4 with a double, Austin Barnes is 2 for 3, and David Freese is 4 for 10.

Cubs Running Hot

The Cubs have won 7 of their last 10 and are coming off a series win at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Chicago led 1-0 heading into the 9th inning on Sunday and the Diamondbacks tied it up. David Bote was the hero as he hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 9th. Tyler Chatwood had a great start, going 6 scoreless innings allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3. The Cubs only had 6 hits on the day that came from 3 people. Anthony Rizzo was 2 for 3, Javier Baez was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and David Bote was 2 for 3 with the game winning RBI.

Jose Quintana will start for the Cubs on Tuesday. He is 2-1 with a 3.43 ERA in 4 starts this season. He has a 1.43 WHIP and has struck out 29 batters in 21 innings. Last season, he went 13-11 with a 4.03 ERA in 32 starts. The Cubs have struggled against Maeda in his career. They are hitting just .178 in 45 at bats and have 1 extra base hit. Kyle Schwarber is 3 for 4. Ben Zobrist and Kris Bryant are both 1 for 3 and Bryant has the lone double. Anthony Rizzo is 0 for 5 with a strikeout.

Dodgers Stay Hot

The Cubs are -115. The Dodgers have been incredible this season and are led by Cody Bellinger who is off to a red-hot start. The Cubs struggled early but seem to have found a groove as of late. Kenta Maeda has been good against the Cubs hitters in his career while Quintana has been slapped around by the Dodgers. I think the Dodgers have a good matchup here and are just better than the Cubs all around. Take the Dodgers -105.
