The Michigan State Spartans have two losses on the season, and they came at home to Notre Dame, and the road loss at Northwestern. The Spartans had won four straight games since the loss to Notre Dame, but then allowed Northwestern to score 37 last week. The Spartans are tied with Penn State a game behind Ohio State in the East Division of the Big Ten.

The Spartans are led by their quarterback Brian Lewerke. The signal caller has a 67.7 QBR on the season and has thrown for just shy of 1,900 yards. He also has 14 toucdown passes. Felton Davis III is the leading receiver for the Spartans, with 405 yards and 7 touchdown.

Nittany Lions Seeking Bounce Back

Saquan Barkley got off to a great start, but then cooled down from there in the loss to the Buckeyes. Despite that, the running back is still one of the front runners to win the Heisman Trophy. The running back has rushed 138 times for 801 yards and 9 touchdowns. Barkley also is second on the team in receiving yards, behind DeaSean Hamilton, who is 6 yards shy of 500.

Trace McSorley leads the Penn State offense. The quarterback has more than 2,000 yards on the season and has 16 touchdowns. The Nittany Lions are scoring 39.8 points per game, which is 13th in the nation, and their team defense ranks 7th allowing 13.3 points per game.

Nittany Lions Smoke Spartans

The Penn State Nittany Lions would like to think they have a chance to get back in the national title picture, but they are going to need some help from Ohio State opponents. The Nittany Lions are going to bounce back in this game, and use their Heisman candidate and great defense to keep the Spartans struggling.

Penn State wins this game, and wins it big. The combination of Barkley, McSorely and a mad defense is not a good combination for the Spartans. The final bet for this game on Saturday in the Big Ten is the Penn State Nittany Lions -7 over the Michigan State Spartans.
