Both Teams Getting Wins
Cincinnati is coming off a 71-69 win over Memphis on Saturday. Jarron Cumberland led the way for the Bearcats in this one, scoring 26 points on 6 of 12 shooting to go with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Nysier Brooks scored 13 points on 4 of 7 shooting and led the team on the glass with 12 rebounds. Keith Williams was the only other Bearcat in double figures with 10 points to go along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Cumberland and Williams tied for the team lead in assists with 3. Tre Scott and Justin Jenifer each tallied 8 points, and the Bearcats only received 6 points from their bench.
UCF is coming off their biggest win this season, a 69-64 win at Houston on Saturday. Houston was ranked number 8 in the country and are the top team in the AAC. This could be a let-down spot for the Knights following a massive win. Collin Smith led the way in this one with 21 points on 8 of 15 shooting to go with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. The 7’6’’ Tacko Fall scored 13 points on 6 of 9 shooting to go along with a team-high 10 rebounds. BJ Taylor and Aubrey Dawkins each chipped in 10 points, and Terrell Allen led the team in assists with 6.
Cumberland Leads Cincinnati
Cincinnati is led by Jarron Cumberland, who is averaging 18.6 points per game to go with 4.4 rebounds and a team-leading 3.6 assists. He is also shooting 41.1% from 3-point range. He is followed by Keith Williams, who is averaging 10.9 points per game. Justin Jenifer and Tre Scott are each averaging 8.6 points per game. Jenifer is shooting 43.8% from deep, and Scott is the team’s leading rebounder with 6.5 boards per game. Cincinnati is averaging 72.3 points per game on 43.5% shooting and is holding opponents to just 61.3 points per game. They are 7-3 on the road this season.
UCF is led by BJ Taylor, who is averaging 16.3 points per game and 3.4 assists per contest. He is followed by Aubrey Dawkins who is averaging 15.1 points and 5 rebounds each game and is shooting 39.1% from 3-point range. Tacko Fall is averaging 11.3 points a game and is the leading rebounder with 7.4 a game and is shooting 75.1% from the field. Collin Smith chips in 8.4 points and 5.3 rebounds, and Terrell Allen is the leading assister with 4.4 helpers a game. UCF is averaging 73.6 points a game on 47.2% shooting and are holding opponents to just 64 points a game. They are 14-2 at home this season.

UCF comes in at -2. Teams often experience a let-down game following a huge win, but I don’t see that happening here as they are playing at home and it is senior night. Cincinnati has problems scoring points, and I can see that happening here against a tough UCF defense. I think UCF is good enough offensively to score against the Bearcats even though they have one of the toughest defenses in the country. I think the home crowd wills the Knights to a 5+ point victory here. Take UCF -2.
