That is mainly because there were a lot of other famous and experienced poker players that participated in it. One of those names is Brandon Adams who managed to preserve the chip lead for almost entire Day 2 but eventually gave the lead to the winner – Peters. As soon as Peters gained the chip lead, his game instantly changed and he started putting a lot of pressure on his opponents and giving them a lot of tests – a strategy which seemed to have worked with Peters just fine.

Naturally, the journalists and poker fans were interested in the change that suddenly happened in the winner’s game. He stated that it was a nice thing to get off to a great start and that he felt great as well.

The heads-up was between David Peters and Brian Green. At the moment this part of the game started, Peters had an immense chip lead of over 9 to 1. Green played carefully and seemed to know every step taken by Peters in advance – something that many other players failed to do during the tournament. He played carefully and had great tactics. However, at one point he moved all in with a double eight in his hand, only to meet against Peters’ double kings. He did not manage to get the third eight and eventually had to settle for the third place.

The final table started with the six best players, and the first to go out was Isaac Haxton who won a sum of $41,400. The next fallen player was Cord Garcia with $55,2000 and then Brandon Adams who was already mentioned and who managed to win a sum of $69,000.

The third place was reserved for Rainer Kempe who is actually the only player outside of the US who managed to make it into the top six. Kempe is from Germany and he had one blast of a game, with a lot of great moves. However, it turned out that it just wasn’t his day and he had to hit the rail as third-placed and take home a sum of $89,700.

Apart from the cash prizes, the players also received the points for Poker Masters Purple Jacket rankings. Since this was the first event, the ranking is pretty much the same as the ranking on the event, with Peters currently leading with 300 points, and Brian Green behind right behind him with 210 points.
