Absolute Poker Refunds Sent to Players

Back in September, the Garden City Group updated the public as to the remissions process involving former accounts held at Absolute Poker and UltimateBet. The deadline for remission applications had been reached and now it seems the first wave of payments have been sent out to players.

Players within the poker community began to talk about receiving payments around the first of October when payments began hitting bank accounts. Refunds were first provided for players who requested their funds via bank transfer. Individuals who opted for a check payment plus those who are located outside of the United States will still have a few weeks before payment will be received.

Former members of both online poker sites are happy to be receiving their funds and are alerting others so they can be on the lookout for payment. Players who did not file a claim before the deadline can still do so. The Garden City Group has stated they will still accept petitions but filings that are late will be subject to a review at a later time period and will be at the discretion of the Department of Justice.

The Garden City Group operates Absolutepokerclaims.com where petitions can be filed for remission. The site is easy to use with the tab Your Options found at the bottom right hand corner. It is here, former members of Absolute Poker and UltimateBet will find the option to file a petition, the Frequently Asked Questions section and how to access more information by contacting the Claims Administrator directly.

The site has not been updated since September, so it should be expected that the Garden City Group will update with details of the first wave of payments in the near future as well as details for the next step in the process. We will continue to monitor the site and update as new information is released.
