2014 WSOP Main Event Final Table Set For November

The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event has finally reached final table game play, so the November Nine have been named, and must now only wait just a few months to resume game play. The Main Event was a great success with 6,683 players competing from all across the globe. Now only 9 remain and play is set to resume on November 10^th to see who will earn the $10 million first place prize and the coveted Main Event gold bracelet.

With every tournament, someone has to finish on the bubble and doing so in a WSOP Main Event is never easy. Luis Velador just missed out on making the November Nine by being eliminated in 10^th place during the final day of game play. During one of his final hands, Velador called 10 million from Andoni Larrabe with A-K only to come up against pocket Aces. With 5-8-K on the board, Velador looked good but ended up losing to Larrabe when the turn and river did not help against the Aces. It was just a short time later Velador would go all in and lose to Mark Newhouse, and end his tournament run.

Speaking of Newhouse, this will be his second consecutive WSOP Main Event final table after making it to the end in 2013. Newhouse finished in ninth last year so the pro is hoping to do much better in 2014. Newhouse is currently 3^rd in chips and stands a good chance of finishing well. Sitting pretty as the chip leader is Jorryt van Hoof, a 31 year old pro from the Netherlands. Van Hoof is hoping to hold on to his chip lead and earn the bracelet win and add to his tournament earnings.

For now, the players will have to wait just under four months to see who will shine as the best of the November Nine! Below is a list of each player who made the final table as well as chip counts.
