But one name will be remembered for a long, long time – Phil Hellmuth. Phils is an extraordinary person – sometimes calm and keeping his cool, but occasionally bursting out, yelling, and cursing other players. One thing is sure – he is passionate about poker and will do anything to win.

Phil Hellmuth has won his 15th bracelet in WSOP. This is the most bracelets ever won by a single player, and he has managed to beat that record a long time ago. In fact, the next three players with the most bracelets are Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, and Doyle Brunson – and all of them hold ten bracelets each.
Poker Brat, which is Phil’s nickname in poker due to his temperament, has had a long pause when it comes to winning significant cash. In fact, he earned his last bracelet back in $1,500 Razz in 2015. After a two-year-long hiatus, he is again stronger than ever and has won a bracelet and $485,082 in Event #71: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em. This is the ninth bracelet that Phil won in a No-Limit Hold’em event.
Looking back at the previous two years, it is safe to conclude that they were not the best for Hellmuth. But this is all in order since Phil is known for overreacting and he was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, which is a far cry from being life-threatening, but he still needed to calm down a bit. This resulted in him playing less and winning a few minor cashes in the past two years.
However, this can be seen as his significant return which also brought back a lot of swearing and speaking during the game. Just several days ago, Hellmuth burst, attacking James Campbell and throwing some really bad words at him. However, that episode ended with the to players texting each other and Phil offering to buy him a seat for the Main Event.
The most interesting part of the game was the heads-up against Steven Wolansky who entered the heads-up with a 3:1 chip lead. It was not long before Hellmuth evened that out. Hellmuth stated that Wolansky was a really difficult player to play against as he had been playing in smaller-sized pots. It was hard for Phil to win a single chip, but then he started doing what he does the best – playing great poker. This lead him to earn his 15th bracelet – although with a lot of obstacles along the way.
Wolansky won $299,807, and some of the players that were also on the final table were Alan Sternberg $204,789, Aliaksei Boika $142,458, Ken Fishman $100,956, and Matt Glantz $72,911.
