There is a pair of great College Basketball games on tap Tuesday from the United Center in Chicago. The State Farm Champions Classic will take place and feature four of the best teams in College Basketball. The first game features the Michigan State Spartans and Duke Blue Devils, while the second game pits the Kansas Jayhawks and Kentucky Wildcats.

Blue Devils Perfect in 2017
The Duke Blue Devils come into the game 2-0 on the season. On Friday, Duke beat Elon and then on Sunday they smoked Utah Valley. In those two games, the Blue Devils scored 98 points per game. Duke’s leading scorer has been their top freshman Marvin Bagley III, with 24.5 points per game.
The Blue Devils also saw an historic feat, as Coach Mike Kyzyzewski came away with his 1000th win. He became the first college basketball coach to win 1,000 games with the same program. Senior Grayson Allen is back for his senior season. The guard scored 20 points and recorded 4 rebounds per game.
Spartans Looking for Title
On the other side – the Michigan State Spartans have played just one game so far this season. The Spartans beat North Florida, and also scored 98 points in the game. For the first time – the Big Ten season is going to start in early December for the Spartans, changing up their schedule a little bit.
The Michigan State Spartans have a National Player of the Year candidate Miles Bridges to star in their lineup. In the season opening win over North Florida, he scored 20 points, while playing 27 minutes. Cassius Winston was also good for Michigan State, with 12 points and 8 assists in the win.
Duke Wins Thriller on Tuesday
Michigan State has not won a national title since 2000. Tom Izzo continues to lead great teams, but many think this could be the best team he has had. The Spartans are favorites to win the Big Ten over Purdue, Northwestern and others. If Michigan State reaches the NCAA Final Four – it will be their 10th trip.
This is going to be a great basketball game. The first big time basketball game of the season. As we have seen in previous seasons, these are good games, that are a little sloppy at times. College Basketball is a big time grind, and the teams change quite a bit between now and the time they play in the NCAA Tournament.
For this game – we have a battle of extreme talent in the Duke Blue Devils, but very young and inexperienced College players against the experience of the Michigan State Spartans.
