The Oklahoma City Thunder came into Friday’s game against Minnesota after losing four out of five to the Pelicans, Pistons, Mavericks and Magic. The lone win during that time came over the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors forward Carmelo Anthony was quoted after the loss in Orlando as they are “mad” not “frustrated” about the slow start.

The Thunder are led in scoring by Paul George and his 20+ points per game. George and Anthony came over in the offseason to join Russell Westbrook. The Thunder are having a tough time scoring, as they are 24th in the league with just over 102 points per game. In the loss to Orlando, the defense let them down as Aaron Gordon scored 40 and recorded 15 rebounds.

Spurs Without Leonard

The San Antonio Spurs have won 66% of their games this season without their top scorer Kawhi Leonard. He has missed the first 21 games of the season, but appears to be coming back soon. The Spurs are coming off a win over Memphis, and play them back to back Friday night in Memphis. The Spurs with the Wednesday win was their fifth in their last six games.

The Spurs are watching LaMarcus Aldridge have a monster start to the season. The forward is scoring more than 23 points per game, and ripping down more than 8 rebounds per game. The Spurs are also seeing veteran Rudy Gay add 11.7 points per game.

Thunder Get Back on Track

We have been saying this for awhile now – but this is the game that gets the Oklahoma City Thunder back on track. The Thunder have stepped up and played well against some of the best teams in the league, and that’s what the Spurs are. Look for the trio of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George to be too much for the Spurs to slow down. The Thunder win this game at home, and start a winning streak that atleast has them looking at the postseason again. Bet on the Oklahoma City Thunder over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
