In a big time College Football rivalry game – the Stanford Cardinal host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have just two losses this season. Those came to the Georgia Bulldogs, and then recently to Miami. Following the loss to the Hurricanes, Notre Dame bounced back with a win over Navy last weekend. The Irish are seeking a trip to a BCS bowl game.
For Stanford, they are 8-3 on the season. the Cardinal have finished their Pac-12 play with a 7-2 mark. The Cardinal will need Washington to beat Washington State this weekend, so they can head to the Pac-12 title game against USC. Stanford’s three losses this season came to USC, San Diego State and Washington State. Notre Dame is -2 in this game over Stanford.

The Irish are scoring nearly 37 points per game, while allowing opponents to score just 20.4 per game. The Irish do much of their offense on the ground, ranking 6th with 290.5 yards per game.
Brandon Wimbush is the quarterback for the Irish, while Josh Adams leads the way on the ground. The running back has carried the football 171 times for 1,337 yards and 9 touchdowns this season. Notre Dame has notable wins in back to back style over USC and North Carolina State this season.
Stanford Down Irish
This should be a great game, but the biggest key to us is the game is played at Stanford. The Cardinal are awfully good playing on their home field, and this is going to be a chance for them to win again at home. The Cardinal will want to keep the ball on the ground and make Notre Dame stop them. Not sure the Fighting Irish on the defensive end have enough to slow down that attack.
