Isabelle "No Mercy" Mercier
Isabelle Mercier grew up in Canada and attended the University of Montreal earning herself an undergraduate law degree. While attending college, Isabelle worked as a blackjack dealer at the Casino de Montreal. After earning her degree, Isabelle headed off to Paris, France, earning her Masters Degree in international law. Isabelle worked as a poker room manager at the Aviation Club de France while earning her Masters. While Isabelle worked at the Aviation Club she was nominated for the Staff Person of the Year at the European Poker Awards two times.
Isabelle then began pursuing her professional poker career. Isabelle participated in the Masters Classic of Poker, which took place in 2002 in Amsterdam. Isabelle placed 2nd in the €800 No Limit hold 'em tournament winning over $50,000. In 2004 Isabelle made her first real appearance at a high profile event. Isabelle won the World Poker Tour Ladies Night tournament and was nicknamed “No Mercy” by Mike Sexton.
Isabelle finished in 10th place in the 2005 European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo. Isabelle also played in the 2005 WSOP and cashed out three times. In 2006, Isabelle made it to her first EPT final table and finished in 7th place. Isabelle has been signed by PokerStars as one of their sponsored players and can be found playing on the site and also at live events with Team PokerStars. Isabelle is known for not having a permanent residence. A free spirit, Isabelle lives out of her suitcase as she travels to poker events around the world.
