Poker.Com/Carbon Poker uses a loyalty program based on what they call Comp Points. Points are earned by playing in real money ring games and tournaments. The points are awarded based on the limit you play. 10 points per raked hand for: Limit $4/$8 to $50/$100 – NL $5/$10 to $25/$50 – Pot limit $5/$10 to $25/$50. 5 points per raked hand for Limit: $1/$2 to $2/$4 – NL $.50/$1 to $3-$6 and PL $.50/$1 to $2/$4 and finally 3 points per raked hand for Limit $.25/$.50 to $.50/$1 – NL %.10/$.25 to %.25/$50 and PL $.10/$.25 to $.25/$.50. Also a refer-a-friend program exists where you can earn $50 in bonus per referred friend as soon as they have deposited money and played 100 raked hands. The referrer will also be entered into a free roll tournament.
Poker.com/ Carbon Poker software has just been updated to Version 4.1. The graphics are unique and clear and the functionality is like no other software. Poker.com offers instant hand histories, win statistics, note taking support, and the option to tag players with a unique symbol (shark, fish, gambler, 8 in all) The lobby shows stats such as average pot, hands player per hour, and viewed flop percentage. Also in Version 4.1, multiple games in multiple windows, re-sizable windows (including full screen), preferred seating (switch seats at a table if one open), bet the pot button (also 2,4,8 times pot buttons) and a neat feature that tells you what your hand would have been after you folded.

Clearing Bonus Money
Players will get $1 for every 250 comp points they receive. All bonus money is paid in $10 increments and is automatically added to your players account. Any remaining bonus you have will expire upon your first withdrawal.

The software is uniquely Poker.com and has some innovative features for their poker players. Graphics are good but pretty boring. The software is fast but does tends to hang up a little more often than other online poker rooms.

Poker.com has a lot of game variety, they offer Texas Hold’em, H.O.R.S.E, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo, Razz, 5 card stud, 5 card draw, Ace – 5 lowball, 2-7 lowball, badugi, blackjack, roulette, Caribbean stud, Video poker and backgammon. The offer all the standard options of limit, no limit and pot limit. Table stakes range from $.10/$.25 to $50/$100 on their online poker tables.
Poker.com offers freerolls, 6 player max, sit-and-go and regularly scheduled tournaments. They run many $2 satellites to bigger events and have tournament starting as low as $1.

Poker.com being on the new Merge Gaming Network is growing in popularity. Combine the huge game selection with the low but ever growing player base and you can see why the scores of these two categories are rather low. You may not always be able to find a game when you want one but eventually this will be a very popular place to gamble online.

The general standard is 5% rake taken up to $3 max and that is the policy at Poker.com. Their rake breaks down to $,01 for every $.20 in the pot up to $3. There is no rake for pots that do not see a flop.
Weak Competition (7)
With the poker network being new, you will find some very loose games. If you are a skilled poker player you can expect to make some money at the tables. As word gets at though, expect things to tighten up.
Welcome Bonus (5)
The welcome bonus is a low compared to other online poker sites. The entries into the added freerolls for depositing is a little confusing to keep up with. If you are a casual player you may find that it is rather hard to clear this bonus even at just $200.
