WSOP Nevada Site Sees Traffic Increase during 2014 WSOP

Everyone knows that the 2014 World Series of Poker is in full swing, with amateurs and pros taking down gold bracelet wins. For two weeks, players have hit the felt in the hopes of being the next big winner. In the between time, players have also been signing up for the WSOP Nevada online poker room and in record numbers. According to a recent report by PocketFives, the online poker site has hit record numbers during the time period of the live WSOP events.

According to numbers by PokerScout, so far in June, the site has seen a large increase in player numbers. For the seven day average, the 140 player number has been passed for the first time since the site went live last year. From the beginning of the 2014 WSOP, the average for cash game players has continued to increase and the number of peak players has increased rapidly. The current averages are 140 for real money ring games and 339 for the 24 hour peak times. PokerScout believes the big increase in player numbers is due to the WSOP website offering seats to several events including the Main Event.

The site will continue to offer online gaming options throughout the series in the hopes of pulling in more players. In the 5th of July, the WSOP site will be hosting a 25 Seat Main Event Scramble which will have a buy-in of $215 and will guarantee 25 main event seats. The website is also hosting a satellite for the Little One for One Drop which is the charity tournament of the series.

As if that were not enough, the online poker room is also offering a Grind Room at the Rio for players to be able to compete online while at the WSOP. The online poker room has all the bases covered to get players in on the action and hopefully continue to build a large player base.
