WPT Announces Seven More Stops Added to Tour

The World Poker Tour announced just three days ago that seven more stops will be added to the current tour season. The WPT Championship is scheduled for May and now, seven more events are available leading up to the culmination of the tour. Five of the new seven events are considered to be regional or national events and will not be deemed ‘official’ WPT championship events. However, the remaining two events are ‘official’. The official events are the only WPT options that will supply points which will go toward the Player of the Year award.

The regional and national events may not offer the points and championship status of an ‘official’ event but they do offer the same WPT quality at an affordable price. Pros as well as amateurs come out to the global events to try their hand at the structure that WPT provides. The following are regional or national events that have been added to the tour.
