World Poker Tour 2010 Makes First Stop on Sunday

The first event of the World Poker Tour 2010 is set to kick off this weekend at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The event is going to be the $10,000 dollar No Limit Hold’em WPT Championship event starting at 12:00pm CST on Sunday, January 24th.

When the event first stopped in Biloxi it was called the Gulf Coast Poker Championship and this event will be the third for Biloxi, Mississippi.

Last year the event was won by Allen Carter after he outlasted 283 other players.  He took home $1 million dollars for his first place finish.

The event will being with 30,000 in chips and the blinds will start at 50/100 and levels will increase every hour and a half.  Players are only going to get 10 minute breaks between each level.

Play will begin very day at 2:00pm CST until we reach the final table which will start at 4:00pm CST.  The full schedule for the event is below:

Sunday, Jan. 24: Day 1 - Play until 2am
Monday, Jan. 25: Day 2 - Play down to 27 players
Tuesday, Jan. 26: Day 3 (- Play down to 6 players
Wednesday, Jan. 27: Final Table begins
