Win Cake Struggles to Pay Players as Juicy Stakes Recovers

wincake_logoWin Cake players continue to complain about the site’s cashout speeds, even as other Revolution Gaming skins appear to be recovering from slow withdrawal times.  The Win Cake Two Plus Two thread includes players that are reporting the site’s inability to process cashouts within what they consider to be a reasonable time frame.  Many players are complaining about cashouts that have been pending since May or June.  The average cashout speed appears to be in the range of 4-6 months.

All Win Cake players are located outside the United States.  U.S. players were moved Juicy Stakes in September 2012.  Win Cake was then known as Cake Poker.  This turned out to be a lucky break for U.S. players as Juicy Stakes was later acquired by Zagox Management in October 2013.  Juicy Stakes players were complaining about slow withdrawals before the acquisition.  These players quickly reported cashout speeds of one week or less once new ownership took over, although a fee of $100 is levied against many of these requests.

Intertops is another member of the Revolution Gaming Network that processes payments at a reasonable speed.  Cash transfers arrive in a few days, checks in one week and wires in two to three weeks.  Players outside the U.S. receive withdrawals in just a day or two.

Intertops believes in the new owners of Juicy Stakes.  Intertops agreed to merge its player pool at higher limit games with Juicy Stakes shortly after the merger was announced.

Lock Poker left Revolution Gaming in October.  That move hurt Revolution Gaming traffic overnight.  Lock Poker’s cash game player counts rival that of Revolution Gaming.  Lock Poker still suffers from the same cashout issues it had before creating a standalone site.  Lock Poker chips trade for less than $.20 on the dollar and some players report cashouts that have been pending since early 2013

Revolution Gaming’s traffic continues to slide as the main cashier struggles to process payments, according to PokerScout.  It was once the largest U.S. facing online poker network.  It now loses to Bovada, Winning, Merge and Chico.  Even Party Poker in New Jersey has more traffic than Revolution Gaming.

The issues at Win Cake should not affect most network sites that use their own cashier.  Juicy Stakes and Intertops will likely survive no matter what happens.  Poker World has been through this before and always paid its players as well.

Players that patronize Revolution Gaming sites that share the Win Cake cashier should be concerned.  Sites that take months to pay players outside of the U.S. likely have liquidity issues as payment processing is not a problem due to accessibility to international ewallets.
