Revolution Gaming Network Tries To Hold On To Lock Poker Players

Lock Poker Yesterday John Mehaffey reported that Lock Poker departed from the Revolution Gaming Network to create their own independent solution and now we have found that Revolution made a move to try and hold on to Lock Poker players by redirecting them to a different network.

According to a recent report by Pokerfuse, Revolution took immediate measures after the announcement by Lock to try and refer players to Pure Poker, a new skin on the network. There was major confusion as players logged on to the old Lock Poker and were redirected to Pure Poker. Revolution promised that players who moved to this network would be able to carry over their Lock funds.

Lock was angered by this move and spoke to Pokerfuse about the network’s actions. Lock stated that they sent a copy of their termination with Revolution to the Curacao regulatory body and that they have given the Revolution Gaming Network a notice stating that they will hold the network viable if any damages occur by what they are calling false or misleading information.

When Lock Poker moved from Revolution, players were not given access to their account and were told to download the new option. This would migrate the players to the new Lock Poker. Players of Lock Poker reported that a statement was listed on the original Lock Poker site which read:

“Due to Lock’s ongoing financial issues, the poker service to Lock was terminated. We apologize for the inconvenience. Pure Poker is offering you a chance to redeem your Lock player balance immediately.”

With this message, players were then given instruction on how to sign up at Pure Poker. Pure Poker has reportedly been in operation for fourteen years and is available on a global basis. However, according to the report at Pokerfuse, there is no documentation that Pure Poker has been on the Revolution Gaming network or if they are a reputable option.

Pokerfuse received an email from Lock Poker which stated that Revolution’s actions contain false/misleading information and are given players an automatic download option for a competing poker room’s software. The email read:

“This is clearly an attempt by the network to take Lock players and damage Lock’s business via a deceptive and misleading practice. The network operator has been given an opportunity to correct this and have refused to do so.”

So the drama continues with Lock Poker and the information now coming out makes the reason that Lock Poker exited from Revolution much more interesting. It was rumored that Lock was booted from Revolution due to outstanding debt but in the termination agreement sent by Lock to the regulatory body, there is sufficient details stating that there were a total of 51 instances of unscheduled downtime as well as 81 service failures that were reason for Lock to leave the poker network and strike out on their own.
