PayPal now accepted at WSOP.com Nevada, soon in New Jersey

wsopPayPal has long been a top choice for online financial transactions, whether you are sending money to a friend or purchasing an item on eBay. The payment method is commonly used in a variety of ways and a safe way to move money easily. Players in the state of Nevada and soon to be New Jersey, have the option to use PayPal as a form of deposit when it comes to online poker game play at WSOP.com.

iGaming Business made the announcement, reporting that the WSOP now offers PayPal in Nevada and is expecting to offer the payment method in New Jersey by next week. The WSOP.com site is backed by Caesars, with the company planning on using PayPal for HarrahsCasino.com and CaesarsCasino.com as well.

Based on reports, it seems as though the PayPal option is only open to WSOP.com players and not 888 Poker. New Jersey residents have access to 888 Poker and it runs on the network which operates the WSOP site in the state.

This is a huge deal in the online poker industry in the United States. In the past, PayPal has been extremely strict with their policy of online gambling in the US. Members of PayPal could easily see their account flagged then blocked by the company if gambling is mentioned, even in comments of transactions. It almost can be seen as an approval of sorts for online gambling in the United States. If PayPal is willing to allow transactions, then the online gaming website using the service can be trusted.

Outside of the United States, PayPal is a common way that online gaming sites use for financial transactions. It will be interesting to see if Delaware opts to use the company as well as additional providers of online gaming in New Jersey as well as Nevada.
