Partypoker has seen great success with live events hosted under the online poker room’s banner over the past few months, including such hits as the Caribbean Poker Party. Because of the success, the online poker brand has now announced a new world tour starting this May. The new tour will revolve around main events featuring million dollar guarantees with a buy-in of $5,300.
Partypoker head, Tom Water, commented on the new tour stating that after listening to player feedback of the Caribbean Poker Party it was clear that a desire existed for events to offer high guaranteed prize pools as well as fun. Water continued by stating that with the 2017 Partypoker LIVE events schedule, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Online qualifiers will begin at the site for only $0.01 which will provide players with the opportunity to travel around the world and take part in quality poker events.
The first event for Partypoker LIVE will be taking place in Montreal, Canada at the Playground Poker Club. The event is titled the Partypoker Million North America and will have a $5 million guaranteed prize pool. The champion of the event will earn $1 million guaranteed for outlasting the competition. The tournament will have three stages including Phase 1 with a Day 1 and 2 with game play taking place online during Day 1 of this phase or at the Playground Poker Club. Day 2 is played live.
As part of the new tour, players will also have access to Partypoker National events. These new events will offer $500,000 in guaranteed prize money minimum with a buy-in of $1,100. Future events of the tour, including dates and locations, will be announced soon by Partypoker.
In the meantime, the Playground Poker Club is excited to be hosting the first Partypoker Million. Phil Sabbah, the Chief Marketing Officer for the Playground, stated that kicking off the tour in Montreal gives players in North America a first look at the amazing events that the brand will offer this year.
