PaddyPowerPoker Offers Online Gamblers a Golden Ticket to Irish Open Poker Event

There is more going on behind the scenes for the Euro 3 million Irish Open poker event, which is scheduled for 2008, then meets the eye. PaddyPowerPoker is a sponsor site of the Irish Open and offers opportunities to qualify for the Open. But this year, if the winner of the 2008 Irish Open had qualified for the game on PaddyPowerPoker, he or she will win the “golden ticket” of poker, which is a free entry into Europe’s premier poker tournament for the next 5 years.

And on top of all of that, the one player who is the highest finishing PaddyPowerPoker qualifier, even if that person did not win first place, will win free entry into the 2009 Irish Open.

Online players have always stood their own when it came to the events. Thomas Finneran, and online player from Galway, beat out over 70 others and ended up in 7^th place in the 2007 event. And the year before that, Sligo man Pat O’Callaghan, another big online name, finished with 14^th place.
