This article is full of uninformed speculation. It’s highly unlikely that anyone has bothered to make a poker bot that could make moves like it talks about – a poker bot would be most likely to play absolutely 100% “by the book”, as if you play 100% mathematically, you’re still likely to beat most of the players out there. And even if you are up against a whole table of good players, it’s not likely to lose very much.

I highly doubt that Full Tilt would ever admit to people using bots of any kind, and I’ve never heard of them offering refunds to anyone for anything – as far as I can tell, this article is not only heresay and speculation, it’s damn near unverifiable.

A poker bot has a disadvantage if it starts trying to make plays – if someone figures it out, it will lose it’s ass handily. Same reason if someone were to figure out that you were playing 100% mathematically, you’d probably lose your ass very slowly until you flopped the nuts. But it’s a lot more likely that you’ll just win a bunch of small pots, and lose some small pots.
