Online Poker Pro Jose Barbero Wins LAPT Season 3 DEL ESTE TOURNEMANT

Over the weekend, Pokerstars Pr Jose ‘Nacho’ Barbero became the first ever member of Team PokerStars.net Pro to win an LAPT event by beating olut a field of 306 other poker players and winning the LAPT Punta del Este title.
According to press releases from PokerStars, this years LAPT Punta del Este event was a hit. The prize pool reached more than a million US Dollars, at f US $1,042,260. Of those 306 entrants, about 1/6th made the money, as Forty-eight players cashed in this event.
The events winner, Barbero cashed to the tune of US $279,330 for his first prize win.
Beginning the last day of the tournament, things looked pretty good for Latin American players. There were three Argentinean’s at the final table, two Brazilian’s and a Colombian player sitting at the table with the chipleader, hailing from Uruguay; Norbert Ludger.
There was just one player at the final table that wasn’t from South America, French player Nicolas Cardyn, who won his seat in a PokerStars qualifier, and took 2nd place, winning $161,550.
