Lock Poker Fallout Continues as Several Players Quit “Pro” Team

It hasn’t been a pretty last couple of months for Lock Poker, and for a few poker pros who represented the “Lock Pro” team, the time to flee the sinking ship was now.

Prominent “Lock Pro Elite” players Chris Moorman and Paul Volpe have both decided not to continue their partnership with the embattled online poker room.  With rising cashout concerns and outrage over the P2P transfer situation, it was no surprise to see some type of internal fallout with at least some of their site pros.

Both Moorman and Volpe had the opportunity to renew their endorsement deals with Lock Poker but decided to leave amid these scandals that have rocked Revolution Gaming’s flagship poker site. The two now have also had their information removed from the company’s website.

Over the past 24 hours, both Moorman and Volpe announced their decision to leave Lock Poker via their Twitter accounts.

Volpe’s post on Twitter stated:

“…also wanted to say I have left @lockpoker. Wanted to thank them 4 giving me the opportunity. Hope poker becomes legal and they can resolve all the issues they are having.”

Moorman stated:

“I have decided not to renew my contract with Lock. I sincerely hope Lock is able to overcome its current problems and for the sake of online poker their situation is resolved.”

Author Note: Since writing this, several more members of Lock’s pro team have seemingly disappeared from the website’s roster.  In total, it looks like their “Pro” team has shrunk from 32 players to 27.  It will be interesting to see if more players decide to leave the site or if the pros hang on to see what happens with Lock’s troubles.
