High Stakes Poker – Patrik Antonio Breaks Doyle Brunson’s New Record
By Cathy Roberts on Nov 27, 2007 with Comments 0
During the most recent High Stakes Poker show and only a few hands after Doyle Brunson‘s record breaking 818,000 pot on High Stakes Poker a new record was set during the same episode (as we’ve recently written on 4Flush.com). Patrik Antonio’s, a Finnish Poker Player shoved in after flopping a pair. Antonio’s’ nines were called by Sammy Farha who has a reputation for getting his chips in on a gamble now and then.
Farha had a king high flush draw and two overs. The pot, $998,000.00. In another crazy decision that has been seen often on High Stakes Poker, the two poker players decided to play the river four times, for best three out four wins it all. Antonio’s won three of the four showdowns, and the record pot.
