High Roller Event of 888Live London Festival Concludes; Jamie Lunt Earns Victory

A total of 69 players competed in the 888Live London Festival High Roller event with Jamie Lunt able to outlast the field and earn the title of champion. Some of the biggest names in poker competed in the 888poker tournament including Chris Moorman, Martin Jacobson and Tom Hall. In the end, it was Lunt who was able to defeat Jonathan Bowers in a short heads-up round once a deal was made between the two.

The event took place in No Limit Hold’em format and had a buy-in of £2,200. The tournament began on October 11th and would take two days to complete. When final table play began, Ludovic Geilich would have the chip lead with more than 1,100,000 in totally but it would not be enough for the poker player to make it to heads-up play. He would be eliminated in third, to leave Bowers and Lunt to duke it out for the 1st and 2nd place finish.

The two remaining players would decide to cut a deal and soon after, Lunt would claim the victory. The tournament finished up in the wee hours of the morning, finally ending at 6 a.m.

The schedule of the 888Live London Festival continues today with the Super Satellite to Main Event Day 1 and the 888Live London Festival ME Day 1B. Game play continues on Saturday with the sart of the Omaha Pot Limit event with The Whale tournament set for Sunday. A Ladies event is also on the secheule for Sunday with a WSOPE prize package up for grabs for the winner.
