Pam Brunson has taken down the World Poker Tour Ladies Night V championship, won the bracelet, and her claim to independent fame. Now she will Play for 25,000 dollars a place in the World Poker Tour Championship

Pam Brunson, won the 1,070 dollars World Poker Tour Ladies Night V that took place at the Bicycle Casino’s Legends of Poker this weekend. Brunson you say, isn’t that familiar? It should be, as she is the daughter of Doyle Brunson, the 10 time WSOP Bracelet Winner. Pam is only one of Doyle’s children to play competitive poker, and what a teach to learn from!

Pam Brunson not only won more than 34,000 dollars by beating the entire field of 125 other women, she also will play in the World Poker Tour Ladies Night Out championship that will be filmed for televised broadcast. As the table currently stands she will be playing across the felt from Mimi Tran, Kristy Gazes, Linda Johnson, Melissa Hayden, and Joanne ‘JJ’ Lieu. The winner receives a 25,000 dollars position in the World Poker Tour World Championship. The final tournament will take place August 31st.

The two-day tournament raised money to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization. The Charity received 97 dollars out of every buy-in, to help further breast cancer research. The World Poker Tour and Hands-On Mobile each donated 5,000 dollars additionally to the organization.
