Bad Beat or Just Table Etiquate Reminder? Man Assults Poker Player with a Bat

There aren’t many details available at this time, but a man at a Mankato poker game sent a text message using his cellular telephone, possibly from his seat at the poker table,  and another man, Jimmy Lee Turner, walloped him with a baseball bat.

Turner, 47 was arrested Saturday following the alledged assault on poker player Dave Wojciechowski. The 32 year old Wojciechowski was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police say that Turner could be charged with 2nd degree assault in addition to disorderly conduct and even terroristic threats.  He was booked into Blue Earth County Jail at 1:13 am yesterday morning.

The incident occurred at a home poker game on the 1500 block of Woodland Avenue in Mankato Minnesota.
