Team PKR representative bests WSOP champ Peter Eastgate to take down opening heat of the PartyPoker.com Premier League III
London, November 25, 2008 – JC Tran, the Team PKR representative in the PartyPoker.com Premier League III, got his campaign off to a blistering start by taking maximum points from heat one of the competition.
After a high-quality heat, Tran beat new World Series main event Champion Peter Eastgate heads up when the Dane’s Q-3 failed to improve against Tran’s big slick.
Heat one of the competition put together one of the toughest six-handed tables ever seen. Alongside Tran (currently the #1 ranked player in the Bluff-ESPN Power Rankings), the field boasted 2008 WSOP main event winner Peter Eastgate, former WSOPE champion Annette Obrestad, defending Premier League champion Andy Black, bracelet winner Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott and EPT and WPT title holder Roland de Wolfe.
JC Tran will next line up in heat four of the competition renewing rivalries with Black, Ulliott and Eastgate while also taking on Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan and Victoria Coren.
