Full Tilt Poker FTOPS IX Event #11: Sweet Victory

Event #11 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS IX) was sweet victory for ‘Sugarsweetness’ as the talented online poker player came away with the 1st place prize of $45,000 at Full Tilt Poker Monday.
The $216 Limit Hold’em event featured a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000 that became the second overlay for Full Tilt Poker as 932 players united at the tables. Sunday’s Event #10 also saw a slight overlay of $4,500, but with a $1.5 million GP, it wasn’t all that surprising. Monday’s FTOPS IX event saw a somewhat higher overlay of $13,600. Overlays a considerably preferred by online poker players, but not so much for the online poker site that pulls the extra cash out of their pocket.
Andy Bloch, a phenomenal Full Tilt Pro with nearly $4 million in tournament winnings under his belt, was on hand to host FTOPS IX Event #11. The action got underway at 2pm ET.
The final table commenced and it was all out combat between the final nine. After quite some time, and constant passing of chip stacks, it eventually came down to heads-up play between ‘FM2T’ and ‘Sugarsweetness’. As the dust settled, ‘Sugarsweetness’ was crowned the victor, earning $45,000 for 1st place. ‘FM2T’ was awarded $28,500 for the 2nd place finish.
