PokerStars Presents World Championship of Online Poker

The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) at PokerStars is back this year it is huge!
The 2007 WCOOP hosted annually by the online poker site Poker Stars, is a tournament featuring 23 different events and this tear will have an unprecedented $15 million in guaranteed prize pools. The poker tournament series starts Saturday, Aug 15 with a $400,000 guarantee no limit Texas hold’em six handed event. It will finish up with the main event Sept. 30th with the $2500 buy-in $5 million guaranteed no limit Texas hold’em tournament.
No matter what your specialty may be, this year’s World Championship of Online Poker will have a poker event for you. This year will include deuce t seven triple draw, H.O.R.S.E., five card draw, seven card stud, Omaha, Razz and yes, plenty of Texas Hold’em.
Last year, there were only 18 events for a prize pool guarantee of $10 million. The total prize pool by the end of last years WCOOP was $18.5 million which has PokerStars and players alike very excited about this years possibilities. Last years champion was J.C. Tran (area23JC) who made $670,000 after a deal at the final table was agreed upon will be back along with a plethora of other highly talented pros from the online and live tournament arena.
