Yesterday afternoon final table play began at the Bayou Poker Challenge WSOP Circuit Championship with Jean Gaspard in the chip lead. Gaspard would dominate the tournament and take his skills to the final table where he would take home the first place prize.
The first player to leave the final table would be knocked out by Gaspard. Kurt Scheer went out in ninth place when he went had a nut flush on the turn but Gaspard got a full house on the river. Kenny Milam was next to go when he went all in with a low Ace and was called by Billy Kopp who held pocket kings.
Gaspard knocked out the next player, Justin Allen, in seventh place and Anita Vasquez, the last woman in the event, was eliminated in sixth place. Dan Walsh would go out in fifth after going up against Ken Christopher with pocket tens, only to find that Christopher held pocket Aces.
