Bodog Poker to Launch 2008 WSOP Main Event Freeroll Series on May 1

Bodog Poker to host 31 days of freeroll tournaments this May, giving online poker players a free shot at joining Team Bodog in Las Vegas this summer for the Main Event 

Winning a seat to the 2008 World Series of Poker* Main Event is one thing; doing so through Bodog Poker is quite another as players win more than just a $12,000 prize package to poker’s biggest event, but also the chance to head to Las Vegas in total Bodog style with their own personal handler, loads of Bodog clothes and swag, access to private Bodog events  and the chance to hang out with the beautiful Bodog Girls. And now, Bodog is giving online poker player the opportunity to win this once-in-a-lifetime spot on Team Bodog for absolutely zero investment as Bodog announces its 2008 WSOP* Seat Giveaway Freeroll Series.

From May 1 through May 31, Bodog Poker is running four WSOP* Seat Giveaway Qualifiers every day at 3:00am, 9:00am, 3:00pm and 9:00pm ET with a buy-in of only five Bodog Poker Points. The top 25 finishers from each qualifier will then compete in a final tournament held on June 7 at 5:05pm ET. There the winner will receive a $12,000 Main Event Prize Package, which includes the $10,000 buy-in to the main event, $2,000 for travel expenses, loads of Team Bodog gear and the opportunity to experience Las Vegas in total Bodog style, including meeting the Bodog Girls and much, much more. 


Additional prizes will also be given out to the top finishers in the final tournament on June 7. Second through fifth place will each get T$270 in order to buy into a Main Event Semifinal, giving them another shot at competing for a coveted $12,000 Main Event Prize Package. Sixth through tenth place will each win T$109 in order to buy into Bodog’s Sunday $100K Guaranteed tournament.


Since every player new to Bodog gets 50 Bodog Poker points in their account, every new sign up will have ten free tries to play any of the four daily WSOP* Seat Giveaway Qualifiers  throughout the month of May. In addition to earning a free spot in the final tournament on June 7, the first-place finisher in each Qualifier will also win T$29 in order to participate in a Main Event Quarterfinal, and the 26th to 50th place finishers will win T$1.50 to buy-into a Main Event Cheap Seat tournament.

    Titan Offers World Series of Poker Executive Package

    PokerStars is offering $2500 in spending money, Full Tilt is offering the winner a $10 million bonus if they win their seat through Full Tilt Poker’s promotions.

    Titan Poker, may not be available to United States Poker players, but they will not be outdone. Titan Poker is offering 2008 WSOP hopefuls the “World Series of Poker Executive Package”.

    For starters, there will be no rush home after this part, Titan is offering a 14 night luxury stay in Las Vegas Nevada, for two. Additionally the online poker room is offering flights and spending money. That spending money isn’t for transportation however, as a Limousine will be picking the winner of the Titan main event Executive Package up from the airport in a limousine.       PokerStars Welcomes new Woman Poker Player to the Team

      Pokerstars has announced a new Team Pokerstars member this week. A new female pokerstar… Victoria Coren (Vicky) has joined the online poker world as a spokesperson and professional poker playing woman.Coren brings with her a fierce poker game, honed in England where the young woman took down first place in at an EPT event during September of 2006 and a pot of £500.000. Additionally.

      Coren began her love affair with the game of poker at age 16, and has been a regular cash poker player for quite awhile. Coren is well known at London’s Grosvenor Victoria Casino.

        Titan Poker Ups the Ante for Monthly Guarantees

        Titan Poker has been slowly increasing their monthly online poker tournament guarantees and now have offer a total of $16 million a month in guarantees. The poker website has stated that the amount of players signing up for the promotions and tournaments has continued to rise and this has caused the giant growth in the guaranteed prize pools.

        Titan Poker offers players a $100,000 guaranteed R/A $50 + $5 tournament as well as a $250,000 guaranteed freezeout with $200 + $15 buy-in. The site also has a $50,000 guaranteed freezeout with $100 + $9 buy-in. These are the larger guaranteed tournaments. To play for a smaller buy-in, players can take advantage of the $2+20 cents, or $1+10cent buy-in tournaments. These do have smaller guaranteed prize pools but will help a player build a bankroll since they take place on a daily basis.

        Titan Poker was producing guarantees as less than $8 million a month around five months ago, which is less than half of what the site is producing now. Titan Poker attributes the amount of chances to play and bigger prizes up for grabs as the source of their new success.

          PokerStars to Give Away $1 Million in Free WSOP Seats!

          According to their website, PokerStars sends more players to the World Series than anyone else. This year they’re giving away $1,000,000 in poker tournament seats between the 13th of April, and the 27th of June. 80 Seats in total. Full Tilt Poker’s website is guaranteeing 150 seats total. We’ll have to do a little digging to find the truth of the matter.

          Players winning their WSOP seats via PokerStars will win their $10,000.00 main event buy in. Hotel Accommodations at the Palms in Las Vegas, as well as an additional $2,500 for expenses incurred on the trip.
