The World Poker Tour will continue their XI season this week and the season will continue through 2013. Organizers of the tour have announced the remainder of the schedule, which includes regular events as well as new markets on the tour.
Steve Heller, the CEO of the World Poker Tour, commented on the new schedule by stating: “By working with a combination of existing and new partners throughout Season XI, WPT is constantly seeking to provide players around the world with access to high-quality tournaments and one-of-a-kind poker experiences that no one else can offer.”
In 2013, the first stop on the tour will take place at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, which is located in Atlantic City. The event will be the $3,500 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open and the event will begin on January 27th. Players will be competing for over $2 million in guaranteed prize money as part of the new main event.
The tour will then head to Florida to host the $3,500 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which is located in Hollywood, Florida. This event will take place from February 8th to February 12th. The tour will then head to Austria at the Montesino Casino for the €3,500 Party Poker WPT Vienna event. This event will take place from February 18th to the 23rd.
The next stop on the tour is the $10,000 WPT L.A. Poker Classic which will take place from February 23rd to the 28th at the Commerce Casino. This event will then be followed by the $7,500 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star event which will run from March 4th to March 8th.
The tour will then move to host the WPT Barcelona from April 5th to the 10th and return to Florida from April 11th to the 16th to host the $5,000 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown. The final event of the tour will take place at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino which is located in Las Vegas. This event will be the $100,000 WPT Super High Roller Championship as well as the $25,000 WPT World Championship, both of which will take place back to back from May 18th to the 24th.
