The 2017 World Series of Poker Europe is set to be a big event this fall. King’s Casino Rozvadov located in the Czech Republic will play host to the series this October to November with a total of €21 million in prize money on offer. King’s Casino is quickly becoming a top spot for tournament organizers and the 2017 WSOPE is sure to see a good turnout at the venue when it starts on October 19th.
Earlier in the year, it was announced that the WSOPE Main Event, a No Limit Hold’em tournament, would have a buy-in of €10,300 and feature a €4 million prize pool. The guaranteed prize pool was then upgraded to €5 million which will see the winner earning a minimum of €1,000,000 plus the championship gold bracelet.
Leon Tsoukernik is the owner of King’s Casino who stated that the early bookings for the WSOPE encouraged them to raise the total guarantee for the Main Event to the larger €5 million amount which provides the winner with the larger first place prize. The casino owner advised players to book now and secure a spot in the event.
The 2017 WSOPE will begin on October 19th and continue until the 10th of November. The series will feature 84 poker tournaments with 11 gold bracelets on offer. This series will mark the first time the WSOPE will take place in the Czech Republic.
Buy-ins will start at €550 and go as high as €111,111. Various formats will be on offer during the series including the ever-popular no limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha with eight-or-better on the schedule and more. The largest buy-in event is the No Limit Hold’em High Roller for One drop which is a charity event and has a €10 million guaranteed prize pool.
It will be interesting to watch this October as the series begins to see if King’s Casino’s popularity will help to drive the series to record heights in participation as well as guaranteed prize pool numbers.
