Bugsys Poker Details

BugsysClub is a joint venture of private investors licensed the multi-player poker and tournament poker software from PokerPages. It is a privately developed software and since it is on no poker network, it is rather short on players and most come form the poker school and play at the lower limits.

It has very basic graphics that function well and have the same features you will find at most online poker rooms. Features include hand histories, session stats and player notes as well as average pot size, hands per hour and players per flop in the lobby.

Bugsys Club has a loyalty program called “Bugsys Bonus Points (BPP)”: BugsysClub rewards it’s players by awarding BBP’s. Players accumulate points by playing in ring games, sit & Go’s or multi-table tournaments that include a tournament entry fee. You can use these BPP’s to play in special tournaments or convert them to cash in 100 BPP increments.

The Bugsys Club software is functional in design and the lobby will provide you with enough information to select a game. The software is fast but the graphics are a little lacking.

Some features in the lobby include the number of players, players waiting, average pot size, players seeing the flop and the number of hands per hour. You can also get emailed hand histories, chat with other players, get detailed session stats on your play and take player notes.

Like all online poker rooms, Bugsys Club Poker server and the client program communicate with an encrypted and secured under SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) method. They use the SSLv3/TLSv1 encryption algorithm (using 128-bit RC4 for encryption) for both the software and secure web pages. All communication between you and Bugsys Club use a public/private key encryption using Certificate Authority (CA) issued by Thawte and the keys are changed frequently. the Thawte certificate key is a 1024 bit length for heightened security.

Bugsys Club has a goal of preventing collusion and fraud to make Bugsys Club games the most honest on the internet. They not only have sophisticated algorithms to identify, track and uncover collusion but also immediately respond to players’ complaints about collusion and freezing accounts under suspicion.

The software at Bugsy’s Club is unique to their site. Recently an upgrade has made their software a lot faster but the graphics are still a bit low and in higher resolutions the tables may not appear crisp. They do have the standard features available at most online poker rooms and if you are looking no frills poker room to play in, this one will fit the bill.
Game Variety (6)

Bugsys Clubs good game variety is a little slim compared to other online poker rooms. They offer Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. All poker games available in Limit Pot-Limit and No-Limit in Holdem online. Table stakes range from $.02/$.04 to $200/$40 on their online poker tables.

AP offers heads-up, 6 player max, sit-and-go and regularly scheduled tournaments. The run many freerolls and Reward Point tournaments and have money tournaments starting as low as $.50.

Overall Traffic (4)

Bugsys Club doesn’t have the traffic levels of the larger poker rooms. It does have a solid community with loyal and active players. Thought the number of players shown on the site doesn’t represent a total number due to players coming from PokerPages.com and PokerSchoolOnline.com, it is still lower than most.

Rake (6)

The rake is within the range of all the other online poker rooms in the industry. It is a little lower at the micro limits with the max rake being $3.

Weak Competition (7)

Surprisingly, the competition is a little stiff at Bugsys Club. Most contribute this to the community feel there and the fact that without the big advertising being done, they don’t attract the big number of casual players. There is also a large proportion of players that belong to the sister poker school site and know enough to make the games a little hard to beat.

The welcome bonus at Bugsys Club has always been attractive. Though it is not the toughest one to clear, at the lower limits you may find it to be a little slow going.

Reload bonuses for Bugsys Club players are very generous. They do a good job of rewarding their community for playing with them. They are, however infrequent.
